Hidden treasury
A hidden treasury acts as a cranny for the tribute fund. In the event of an attack, a part of the resources in the tribute fund is saved into the hidden treasury, up to a certain maximum per resource type. Similar to the cranny, the capacity of multiple hidden treasuries is added together. After the attack, the defender can claim the saved resources for himself, adding them to his warehouses. If he doesn't claim them, the treasury stays occupied and can save less resources in the next attack.

However, due to its high cost, the treasury is usually only built to prepare for a later activation.
Active treasury
As soon as the activation is completed, the treasury exerts influence for its political kingdom on the villages around it and can store a certain amount of treasures to activate them. After the activation, the automatic transfer is triggered (especially transfering treasures in the tribute fund into the active treasury). Upon deactivation, all treasures are transfered back to the tribute fund (possibly being transfered immediately by the automatic transfer).

(De-)Activation
A hidden treasury can be activated and an active treasury can be deactivated (hidden). This can be done in the treasury and takes 12 hours. This duration is independent of the server speed. The activation can be canceled during the first 90 seconds, the deactivation cannot.
Special activations:
- Upon coronation, the treasury activated, as soon as the ceremony is finished, independently of the 12 hour rule.
- The activation of a treasury activates all treasures of that village and newly built treasuries are automatically active.
Special deactivations:
- The deactivation of a treasury deactivates all treasuries in that village and newly built treasuries are automatically hidden.
- If all treasuries of a village get destroyed or demolished, they are immediately deactivated.
- If a village is conquered (including conquering oneself), all treasuries are immediately deactived.
- If a duke is forcefully degraded, his treasuries are immediately deactivated.
To activate a treasury, a free treasury slot is required.
